Requirements for Entry:
- HORSES MUST HAVE A PAID $250 SIDEPOT ENTRY which includes a one-year subscription to the HoofLink System.
- HORSES MUST BE MICROCHIPPED PRIOR TO THE RACE and registered into the HoofLink System.
- If a horse is not microchipped prior to the race, it may be chipped up to 10 days after the start of the event and must also be registered into the HoofLink System.
- If a horse fails to be microchipped and registered, it will be disqualified from the sidepot and the next eligible horse will receive the winnings.
Microchip Requirements:
- Microchips must be ISO compliant low-frequency microchips, which can be purchased from Lip Chip LLC and sent to the owner’s preferred veterinarian.
- Call (325) 866-3146 to order microchips.
- Horses already microchipped with an ISO-compliant chip are eligible but must be registered in the HoofLink System.
Renewal Policy:
- If the horse is to enter a second sidepot event, a renewal fee of $100 is required unless:
- The initial purchase of Sidepot Entry also includes the purchase of the Advanced Bluetooth Scanner.
- A credit of 1 renewal Sidepot Entry is given with scanner purchase.
- This ensures the owner can scan the horse(s) regularly and utilize the HoofLink System in their barn.
Additional Notes:
- Bio-thermal microchips are recommended but not required.
- Lip Chip personnel will be on-site at both events to assist with microchipping.
